Who is responsible

This website, tooproductive.com, is run by Webulous, Chemin, 1264 St-Cergue, Switzerland. I am responsible for the processing of personal data described here. For any question about your data, email hello@tooproductive.com.

This policy follows the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, for visitors in the EU and EEA, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

The short version

• Google Analytics counts visits so I can see what is useful. No ads and no ad tracking.
• Newsletter signups go to beehiiv. You can unsubscribe with one click in any email.
• Purchases go through Payhip. I never see your card details.
• I don't sell your data.

When you visit the site

The site is hosted by Hostinger (Hostinger International Ltd., Cyprus). When you open a page, the server automatically records technical data: your IP address, the date and time, the page requested, the page you came from, and your browser and device type. This is needed to deliver the site and keep it secure (legitimate interest, GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)). Hostinger keeps these logs for a limited time and then deletes them.

Fonts

The site loads its fonts from Google Fonts, a service of Google. To do that, your browser connects to Google's servers, which receive your IP address. I use it so the site displays the same on every device (legitimate interest). See Google's privacy policy.

Google Analytics

The site uses Google Analytics, a service of Google Ireland Ltd. and Google LLC (USA), to count visits and see which pages are useful. It sets cookies and records pseudonymous data: the pages you view, how long you stay, the site you came from, your device and browser, and your approximate location. Google Analytics does not store IP addresses. Data can be transferred to the USA (see "Data sent abroad") and is deleted automatically after the retention period set in Google Analytics (at most 14 months). Legal basis: legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)). You can block these cookies in your browser settings or with Google's opt-out add-on.

Cookies

This site uses Google Analytics cookies (see above) and no advertising cookies. WordPress sets technical cookies only for people logged in to manage the site. The newsletter signup form is loaded from beehiiv's servers and may set cookies beehiiv needs for the form to work.

Newsletter

If you subscribe, your email address is stored by beehiiv, Inc. (USA), which sends the newsletter for me. The signup form is embedded from beehiiv, so beehiiv receives your IP address and browser data when a page with a form loads, even if you don't subscribe.

beehiiv records whether emails are opened and which links are clicked. I use this to see which topics are useful to readers. Legal basis: your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)). You can withdraw it at any time with the unsubscribe link in every email, or by emailing me. Your data is kept until you unsubscribe.

Buying a template

Checkout runs on Payhip (Payhip Ltd., UK), which handles the order, payment, sales tax and the download. Payments are processed by Payhip's payment providers, such as Stripe or PayPal. I receive your name, email address, country and what you bought, so I can deliver the product and help if something goes wrong. I never see your card or bank details.

Legal basis: performing the contract (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)) and legal obligations. Swiss law requires business records to be kept for 10 years.

Emailing me

If you write to me, I use your email address and message to reply. I delete the conversation once it's no longer needed, unless the law requires me to keep it.

Links to other sites

Templates are delivered as Trello boards or Google Sheets, and some pages link to other websites. Once you leave this site, that site's privacy policy applies.

Data sent abroad

Some of the providers above process data outside Switzerland and the EU, including in the USA and the UK. Switzerland and the EU recognise the UK as having an adequate level of data protection. For the USA, transfers rely on the Swiss-US or EU-US Data Privacy Framework where the provider is certified, or on standard contractual clauses.

Your rights

You can ask what data I hold about you and ask me to correct or delete it. You can also object to processing, ask for your data in a portable format, and withdraw your consent at any time. Just email hello@tooproductive.com.

If you think your data is being handled wrongly, you can complain to the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) or, in the EU, to your local data protection authority.

Changes

If the site changes, I'll update this page.
