ChatGPT now has a Study Mode: guided practice, Socratic questions, hints, and knowledge checks. You can also just prompt it directly: tell it the topic, difficulty, and format, and it will quiz you one question at a time without revealing the answer until you respond. Useful for exam prep, certifications, or just refreshing something you half-remember. The one catch worth noting: asking ChatGPT to verify its own answers is not verification. It's the same system checking itself. For anything that actually matters, cross-reference with a real source.

52% of Americans say they're "more concerned than excited" about AI in daily life, up from 37% in 2021. A majority of 18-34 year olds don't trust AI industry leaders to act responsibly (why would they?). Over 70% think AI is moving too fast. Silicon Valley assumed that ubiquity would lead to acceptance... It hasn't. Even Anthropic's CEO admitted this week that AI companies "haven't yet delivered on our big promises." What were those promises, anyway? Can anyone remember?

Messages app in iOS 27 quietly picks up context from your conversations and offers one-tap actions: creating a reminder or a note with the actual details already filled in, or finding the right photo someone asked for based on who, what, or where is in it. Ask someone to grab groceries and Messages can suggest a reminder titled exactly that, with the specifics already included. #spooky

A business professor gave students an AI-optional assignment: build an issue tree breaking down a messy client problem. The AI-assisted trees looked great - clean, tight, polished. The non-AI ones looked rougher. Then the students had to present and defend their work live: the polished-AI teams crumbled under questioning, while the "messier" teams held up. They'd actually done the thinking. AI can produce the polish without anyone doing the underlying reasoning. What's left scarce isn't knowledge, it's judgment under pressure: weighing trade-offs, reading a room, defending a call when someone pushes back.

A few screenshot features most people never turn on in iPhones: Back Tap (Settings → Accessibility → Touch → Back Tap) lets you double- or triple-tap the back of your phone to snap a screenshot one-handed, no button combination required. Safari and other apps support full-page screenshots - capture a whole webpage or long thread as one scrollable file instead of stitching together five separate images. The Markup toolbar can draw a perfectly straight line, circle, or arrow if you draw roughly and hold your finger down at the end. And you can delete a screenshot immediately after sharing it, right from the share sheet, without hunting for it in the Photos app afterward (just tap the X in the top corner instead of ‘Done’).
